She Took Action

There was that feeling of, "When is this frustration going to end?" Walking around the house like a zombie, wondering, "When is it my turn for a break?" You think I would be more prepared every summer with organizing my time and creating better schedules for my boys. My 15 year old has special needs which requires 24/7 care and my soon to be 11 year old wants to play with friends and go places. But it's hard to give both what they need every day.

The kids are done with school, and now I have to keep them busy and feed these mouths.....constantly. LOL.

It never ends. I need a break.

Anyone else relate?

But just then, my phone rang. It was my friend Jackie. She took action and told me that we need to do a photoshoot together. "I'll take pictures of you and you take pictures of me. "

She isn't a Photographer

My friend isn't a photographer, and she knows how much my spirit is energized in partaking in a photoshoot, no matter what it is. Taking pictures gives me life. It recharges my battery.

I would take pictures of women every day. The joy that it brings me is indescribable.

I have taken pictures of my friend countless times. You could say she is my number one support and fan.

The Catch

So you may be thinking. "What's the catch?"

Life is short. Take pictures of each other, whether it's friends or family. I have my share of family and friends that DESPISE having me take their pictures. I respect that. They aren't my kind of people.

I love the people that are willing to be adventurous, dress up, find beauty and curiosity around every corner. I love capturing that story, that experience every step of the way.

Find Peace

Each step that brings you peace is another step in finding yourself. But you have to take the first step to see the results and outcome, even when it is uncomfortable. I didn't realize how awkward I can get when others take my image.

However, I LOVE when people take my picture. It's almost a catch-22.

What brings you peace? What speaks to you?

I invite you to schedule a photoshoot. Start with 30 minutes and build yourself up. The images that you get in the long run, will bring you so much appreciation and self-love; it truly is a beautiful gift.
